Classical Design Group, Inc. is an architecture firm located in San Luis Obispo, CA. We value innovation and learning in building design in an encouraging and fun environment. The types of projects we undertake are medical, commercial and residential.

Currently we are seeking talented and dedicated team members for the following two roles:

Architectural Drafter – Entry level (for recent graduates or those close to graduation)

Job Description:

·         Full time (Part time for those close to graduation)

Requirements:

·         Education: Associates Degree in Architectural, Engineering or Construction Technology or Bachelors Degree in Architecture/Construction or related design field

·         Experience: Your degree is your experience, but any experience you have is a definite plus.

·         Work Samples: Submit your best class projects, or even better, projects you have worked on that have been built.

·         Proficient in Autodesk Revit and the use of BIM, or willing to learn BIM. Also, be able to use AutoCAD; some clients require it.

·         Be able to use our Revit and AutoCAD standards for drawing plans

·         Familiar with conventional framing

·         Other software – MS Office Word and Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop or CorelDraw

Responsibilities:

·         Assist with drafting construction documents sets based on architect’s design

·         Assist with permit applications and the permit process

Salary Level and Benefits:

·         $14.00 - $18.00/ hour, commensurate with education level, experience, and GPA

·         7 national holidays (Paid)

Architectural Drafter

Job Description:

·         Full time

Requirements:

·         Education: Bachelors Degree in Architecture/Construction or related design field, or Associates Degree in Architectural, Engineering, or Construction Technology

·         Experience: Minimum 2 years working in an architecture or design firm

·         Proficient in Autodesk Revit and the use of BIM, or willing to learn BIM. Also, be able to use AutoCAD; some clients require it.

·         Be able to use our Revit and AutoCAD standards for drawing plans

·         Knowledge of MEP design (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing), or be willing to learn

·         Understand conventional framing

·         Know relevant codes for the small commercial projects, or be willing to learn

·         Other software – MS Office Word and Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop or CorelDraw

Responsibilities:

·         Organize and draft complete sets of construction documents based on architect’s design

·         Manage permit applications and the permit process

Salary Level and Benefits:

·         $18.00 - $25.00/ hour, commensurate with education level and experience

·         7 national holidays (Paid)

·         Sick time (Paid)
